Sonam Kapoor has welcomed 2021 with a passionate kiss at midnight with her husband, Anand Ahuja in London as they continue to stay away from India. The actress took to her social media to send out warm greetings for her fans and friends with an adorable picture of her New Year kiss with Anand and wrote, “2021 I’m ready to take you on with the love of my life..”Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are all set to embrace parenthood in January 2021. The couple shared the news of them expecting a baby in August. Anushka has been sharing adorable pictures of herself showing off her baby bump on her social media handle. Now, ahead of the baby's arrival, the actress opened up on how she plans to handle the new role of a mother.
The Band Baja Baraat actress revealed about the perks of being pregnant during the lockdown. Speaking to Vogue India, Anushka said, "I was on a zoom call while promoting Bulbbul when I started feeling incredibly nauseous. I quickly turned off my video and messaged my brother, who was also on the call, to stall them for ten minutes. If I had been on set or in a studio, everyone would have known. The pandemic has been a weird blessing in a way. Virat was around and I could keep it a secret. We only left to go to the doctor's clinic. No one was on the streets so we couldn't be spotted."
Anushka Sharm also opened up about everything from her food cravings, how Virat and her want to keep their child away from social media. "You are more connected to your body, to all that is happening. It's mind-boggling when I see the changes. It's amazing," she said of seeing her body adapt. "I've always meditated. It's a daily practice, and my life has been quite balanced, so I've carried that forward. The only difference is that I've had a lot more time," she added.
Anushka also revealed, "I was eating only toast and crackers for the first three months. So, when it ended, I wanted to eat vada pao and bhel puri, but that didn't last long either. So, no real cravings. I am someone who likes to read a lot and research a great deal; I've chewed my doctor's brain. So many times we don't have enough knowledge… It's what you are told by family members, but somewhere, it's important to have a medical perspective rather than just follow beliefs and patterns. The first thing my doctor told me is that the biggest myth is eating for two."
When asked about how the parents would want to deal with social media when it comes to their first child, Anushka revealed to Vogue India, "We've thought about it a lot. We definitely do not want to raise a child in the public eye — we don't plan on engaging our child in social media. I think it's a decision your child should be able to take. No kid should be made to be more special than the other. It's hard enough for adults to deal with it. It's going to be difficult, but we intend to follow through."
Anushka also revealed how the kid's nursery will be in this tell-all interview. She said, "I want the nursery to be very calm. It's the place where you spend the most amount of time, where you are bonding with your baby, so it has to be peaceful. I don't believe that boys have to wear blue and girls pink. The nursery has all colours."
Opening up on how she and Virat will be handling parenting duties, Anushka said, "We don't see it as mum and dad duties, but as a family unit. For us, it's important that our child be raised with a very balanced outlook. It is all about shared duties. I will be the primary caregiver, especially in the first few years, and that's the reality. I am self-employed and I can decide when I am working if I do one or two films a year. In Virat's case, he plays round the year. What becomes important is the time we spend together as a family."

Riding high on the success of 'Chhalaang', Nushrratt has definitely had a spectacular 2020. Along with Nushrratt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Vaani Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon were present too on the occassion.
Nushrratt oozed oomph as she donned upon a one shoulder tie-up printed piece with minimal yet elegant makeup. She paired the outfit with nude buckle up stilettoes, and a small white pouch.

Touted as a hard year, 2020, has been a spectacular year for Nushrratt professionally, with the success of 'Chhalaang' and announcement of multiple projects. With 'Chhalaang', Nushrratt came out in a new light as an actor, and was loved by the masses for her role of 'Neelu' in the film.
With a strong trajectory of roles in her kitty, Nushrratt recently wrapped up the shoot of her horror film 'Chhorii'. She will be next seen in 'Hurdang' opposite Sunny Kaushal and Vijay Varma, and recently announced Omung Kumar's 'Janhit Mein Jaari'.

2020 was a rather tough and tumultuous year for the Hindi film industry. Some massively mounted and highly anticipated films had to be postponed, many had to settle for an OTT release, and on the personal forefront, many actors and filmmakers had to go through a lot of hate.
Ileana D'Cruz, sharing a post on her Instagram account, also reflected on 2020 and how she too had some crappy times as well. Sharing a boomerang selfie with fans, Cruz got a little inspirational and thanked everyone for being there for her.

A few days back, Ileana D'Cruz revealed that she had been facing body shaming for quite some time. She said she even struggled with weight issues and has been troubled by incessant trolling as well. However, now she says that she is learning to acknowledge that her body is flawed and that it was okay.
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, the Pagalpanti actress talked about how we are constantly trying to look at our body in a certain way. "If I look in the mirror and see that I am a bit lumpy, I should be okay with it as it is normal. It's okay to have a little bump, some scars too, as they add to your character, make you who you are. One needs to be forgiving towards oneself, understand that we were not meant to be perfectly sculpted statues. We are flawed and imperfect as that is what makes us who we are," she said.

She added, "Acceptance is something that I have been working on for some time now. That post reflected by state of mind then. I have been working out a lot at the time, keeping myself healthy, physically and mentally."
The actress also revealed that she was away from her family for more than eight months due to COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdown. She took a flight to the US to meet her family once the lockdown restrictions were lifted. Revealing how being away from her family affected her daily life, she said, "Normally, I'm a positive person, but with everything that had been happening, the moment I saw my family, I broke down. It was a huge relief spending time with them. I didn't want to come back."

Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29, 2020. The actor had been undergoing treatment for Neuroendocrine cancer and passed away after complications arising out of colon infection. The actor is survived by his wife, writer Sutapa Sikdar and two sons Babil and Ayan.
And as the world entered into a new year, 2021, the actor's wife remembered him by sharing an emotional and heartbreaking post on how she misses him. Sharing a collage of his pictures, this is what she wrote- "It's so difficult to wish 2020 as the worst year as you were still there.last year this day next to me,gardening, busy building birds house how can I say goodbye to 2020!!Irrfan I have no idea how to welcome 2021!! [sic]"
Irrfan Khan's was an unconventional aura yet very charming. He hailed from Jaipur, stayed at Tonk Road and had dreams of making it in Bollywood. The nation saw him for the first time in the immensely successful serial, Chanakya, and his eyes were so gripping and powerful, the viewers couldn't help but be hooked by his persona. He was here to stay.
His early years in Hindi films may have been unsensational but never once anyone doubted his tenacity as an artist. Even in smaller roles like Kasoor and Footpath, you could see the sincerity and earnestness with which he approached these characters. There was something special about his emotions and gravitas that with the same amount of expressions, he could be both chilling and comical. On one hand, we had a film like Gunaah, where he played an inebriated and innocuous police officer, and on the other hand was a film like Hindi Medium, where he made the audiences laugh and even cry.

He won the National Award for Paan Singh Tomar, a film that was driven by rust and robustness, and so was his performance as the eponymous character. It was only after this that he began to get roles that were not only exciting but also very exhilarating, for him and us, both. In The Lunchbox, he played Saajan, an ageing and ordinary man who falls in love with a woman he has never met, thanks to her delicious food that accidentally lands at his office desk. It was a restrained, real, and rousing performance that will always stay as delicious and fresh as the food he consumed.
Another crackling performance was in Shoojit Sircar's Piku, where he was pretty much stuck between a clumsy father and his cantankerous daughter. His deadpan demeanour always works in favour of the films he's a part of, and Piku was one of them. Call it the magic of the narrative or his own Midas touch that even if a single muscle doesn't move on his face, we know exactly how and what he's feeling. And that's precisely what he aspired for, to be a great artist. He never craved for fame.

Good Newwz director Raj Mehta returns with another dramedy, featuring Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani. Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, who returns to acting after eight years, play Dhawan's parents.

It had Balan return to solid form after the disappointing Heyy Babyy and Kismat Konnection. Mother is a character that can seldom go wrong, especially when your child is Amitabh Bachchan himself.
Raw and rustic, Abhishek Chaubey cracked the essence of the heartland a lot of the other filmmakers fail to, giving Balan her most titillating and terrifying character till date. This crime-comedy saw Balan as a widow who forms a physical relation with a man and becomes the fantasy of the other. Again, a love triangle but on steroids. And sex!
It was appropriate the makers opted for Vidya Balan to essay the role of the South Siren Silk Smitha in her biopic. Both women were unabashed and unapologetic about their plumpness and flaunted their midriff to stimulate the desires of men. The critics looked at this woman with disdain, the front-benchers embraced her sexuality. Balan threw herself into this world of dazzles and darkness, and The Ditty Picture became a shining spot in her career.
Before Aarya and a lot of other shows on OTT asked us this question, Kahaani did- How far would you go for your family? Does a woman's revenge know no bounds? Maybe not. Kahaani, on the surface, was a whodunnit about the disappearance of a woman's husband. As the story progressed, we discovered some shocking and discomforting truths about this couple. Kahaani reiterated why there's no one better than Balan to play such emotionally broken and bruised parts.

Siddharth Roy Kapur and Vidya Balan were papped at the Gateway of India on Wednesday evening. They travelled in a ferry to Alibaug. The season's festivities are special for Balan as she celebrates her birthday on January 1. So, it is always a dual celebration for the actor. It's not just another year for her, but the world as well.
Balan has been a part of the Hindi film industry for the last 16 years. She made her Bollywood debut with Pradeep Sarkar's Parineeta in 2005 and went on to be seen in films like Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Paa, Ishqiya, No One Killed Jessica, The Dirty Picture, Kahaani, Kahaani 2, Tumhari Sulu and Mission Mangal. After a marvellous performance in Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh channelised his energy into emulating Kapil Dev as he led Kabir Khan’s 83, based on India’s win at the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Singh will also be seen in Jayeshbhai Jordaar.
The war drama, originally slated to hit screens in 2020, has been acquired by Disney + Hotstar. Featuring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha, the film is based on IAF Squadron Vijay Karnik’s efforts to rebuild the Indian Air Force airstrip during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War.

The Rohit Shetty venture has been one of the few films to forgo a digital premiere for a big-screen date with the audience. Kumar also has the period drama Prithviraj with Manushi Chhillar lined up.
Hum Tum pair Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan joined forces to take forward the Bunty Aur Babli franchise. This time, the team is twice stronger with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh.
Eid 2020 wasn't the same for Salman Khan’s legion of fans as they missed their annual date with the superstar. His actioner is now slated for an Eid 2021 release.

They own a few floors in this under-construction building and interiors are being worked upon. Recently, the star kid took to Instagram and shared stunning pictures of herself.
Celebrating 20 years in the industry, Priyanka Chopra has been posting about her favourite films and iconic roles on Instagram. Today she penned a note on Mary Kom’s biopic, which had hit the screens in 2014. Reminiscing the Omung Kumar directorial, Priyanka wrote, “Playing #MaryKom was not what I expected at all. The weight of telling the story of a living, national icon put a load on me that I hadn’t shouldered before. It was surreal in many ways. She was a world champion sportswoman who was and is still competing and is on top of her game. It was an honour but also a huge responsibility for me as an actor.”Choreographer and director Remo D'Souza suffered a heart attack on December 11 and was rushed to a hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, where an angioplasty was performed on him. Remo's friend Mahesh Kukreja told IANS, "On Friday morning Remo was admitted at the Kokilaben Hospital following some heart issue. There were some blockages due to which an Angioplasty was performed by the doctors. Now he is doing fine according to the doctors. We are here, he is my family friend and we assure that please do not worry, everything is under control."
Now, Remo is well and has returned home. The 46-year-old choreographer shared on Instagram, "Thank you all for the love, prayers and blessings I am back... thank you @gabrieldsouzaaa @_adonis_ and @edie_rockwood for the beautiful welcome back ... and thanks to all my friends."
In a recent interview with ETimes, Remo D'Souza opened up about the fateful day and how prayers are what got him through. He recalled, "It was just a regular day. I had my breakfast and went to the gym. Lizelle (wife) and I share the same trainer, who was already training her. So, I was waiting for my turn, and in the meanwhile, I did some brisk walking on the treadmill and stretching on the foam roller. Then, I was just sitting idle, waiting for my turn. As soon as Lizelle finished, I got up, but I started feeling pain at the center of my chest. Since it wasn't in my left arm, I thought it was because of acidity. So, I drank water. But the pain was still there, so I told my trainer that we should cancel the training for the day."
He added, "When Lizelle and I took the elevator to go up, I pressed the lift button and sat down. Once I stepped out of the lift I started coughing and I even wanted to throw up. Lizelle saw my smartwatch, which checks on the heartbeat and ECG and the screen prompted 'Are you not well?' This pain was something that I had never experienced in my life. On reaching the hospital, we were told by the doctors that it's a major heart attack."
Calling it the scariest day of his life, Remo said, "I am told that my right artery had a 100 per cent blockage. Usually, a normal human heart works at 55 per cent and when I was taken to the hospital, it was working only 25 per cent. It is probably hereditary, pre-workout session or work stress. They are trying to figure it out and I am dying to know. A lot of people think I take steroids, which is not true at all. I believe in having a natural body."
Remo D'Souza also expressed gratitude towards anyone who prayed for him. "I think I just got saved because of the many prayers and the blessings that came in. I have realised we have only one life to live. When I was at the hospital and I closed my eyes, I thought that if I go, I will be remembered for a few days and then people will start forgetting me. So, this one life is the most precious gift," he said.
On the professional front, Remo made his directorial debut with the campus-comedy FALTU in 2011 and went on to direct films like ABCD, ABCD 2, A Flying Jatt, among others. He has been associated with Hindi cinema for more than 25 years.

Bollywood actress Ananya Panday has shared some good memories from her lockdown experience. Unlike most people, she did not engage in multiple household chores. On a lighter note, she says she has been banned from all such activity by her family.
During the lockdown, many celebrities took to social media to post their photos and videos sweeping, mopping or doing the dishes, but Ananya's posts had nothing to do with such activities. "I think I am banned from doing housework. I don't think anyone in my family would appreciate it if I did any housework because I am not very good at it," the actress told IANS.
"I tried a little bit of everything like I helped my sister in cooking. She didn't allow me to do it, but I cleaned my closet. I kept my room really neat and clean. I guess that counts. I decorated my Christmas tree with my sister," she quipped.
Spending time with family, of course, makes it to her good memories list. "I got to spend a lot of time with my family. I got to watch a lot of movies and do a lot of stuff," she said. The time off made her binge-watch shows on OTT. "I finished watching 'Mirzapur', both the seasons, in three days. I was obsessed with it. I think it's such a cool show. It's so well shot and all the performances are amazing," said the actress.
"I also watched 'Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story', which I thought was really interesting. Pratik Gandhi and Shreya Dhanwanthary's performances were amazing," she added.
Another show that she simply loved was "Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives", which revolves around the day-to-day lives of Bollywood wives including her mom Bhavana Pandey, who is actor Chunky Panday's wife.
"I was in the show and I thought that when it would come, I wouldn't watch it, but I couldn't stop watching it. I binge-watched it in one night. It was really fun," she said. Ananya's upcoming films include an untitled Deepika Padukone co-starrer directed by Shakun Batra, and Puri Jagannadh's directorial with Vijay Deverakonda.
She wouldn't mind doing a web series. "I watched a lot of content online. There is so much freedom to tell different stories, so I would love to do something like a web show. I am just waiting for the right one," said the actress. With cinema halls shut during lockdown, her film "Khaali Peeli" got a digital release. "When we shot the film when it was narrated to us, we had a feeling that it would be a big-screen film. It's a full-on masala entertainer. It would have been so much fun to watch it on the big screen because it has a bit of everything - action, drama, romance and comedy so, it was a perfect theatre film," she said.
"The initial reaction was...we were definitely disappointed because we wanted to watch it on the big screen and wanted others to watch it in theatres as well. But we understood the situation too. As long as people are getting to watch it, even if it's at home, it's fine for us. We just want people to watch the film," she added.
Many films were digitally released in the last few months owing to the pandemic. "You get to see so many amazing performances and different kinds of stories on OTT, so I feel that it has its own space," she said.
"But I don't think anything can ever replace the feeling of walking into a dark theatre, eating popcorn and sharing that collective experience like when there's something funny, everyone laughs together when there's something sad, everyone cries together. I don't think that feeling can ever be replaced. I really miss that. I want to go back to theatres once it's safe," she shared.
The young actress feels there is room for both -- OTT and films -- to co-exist. "Both make me equally excited," she said.

Actress Mrunal Thakur has around five films lined up in 2021, and she is naturally excited. She does not mind starting the new year on a busy note. Mrunal's roster next year includes the cricket drama "Jersey" opposite Shahid Kapoor, and the boxing flick "Toofan" co-starring Farhan Akhtar. She also has the comedy "Aankh Micholi" with Abhimanyu Dasani, besides a couple of projects that are to be officially announced.
The actress will begin shooting for a couple of these projects through January and February. "I'm grateful that the work that I have done through 2020 will all be released in these coming months. The last few months have truly taught us that patience is a virtue and it always pays off," Mrunal said.
The actress added that she has been "shooting since the shoots resumed and have committed my time in between projects". "I'm excited to start the new year too with working on two other projects which I'm excited will be announced very soon," Mrunal said.
