Malaika Arora: Feels so good to bounce back every Monday with that one asana

It has been more than a year since Malaika Arora began sharing her Monday Move of the Week and she has been religiously doing that for a long time. Before the lockdown happened, she was spotted at the gym daily but due to the pandemic, she began sharing her fitness mantra from home.

And now, she shared this week's move of the week and it is comparatively earlier to ace. This is what she wrote on her Instagram account- "It feels so good to rebounce every Monday with that one asana, the practice of Yoga that keeps us all connected. [sic]"

The actress was in Dharamshala for a photo-shoot and she accompanied Arjun Kapoor who was shooting for his horror-comedy Bhoot Police. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Yami Gautam.

Malaika Arora recently recovered from coronavirus. She shared that she feels blessed to have overcome COVID-19 with minimum pain. On September 7, Malaika had confirmed that she has tested positive for COVID-19, after speculative reports did the rounds that she has contracted coronavirus. She shared the news officially on Instagram. Revealing that she has been infected by the virus, she added that she is asymptomatic and is quarantined at home.

News of Malaika being infected started doing the rounds shortly after her good friend Arjun Kapoor announced a day before that he had tested Covid-19 positive.

Tabu took to social media sharing a picture with Maniesh Paul wherein, the actor is seen presenting a poster of AndhaDhun with a protruding musical instrument.

Amitabh Bachchan gives glimpse of a 'film that never got made'

Amitabh Bachchan has shared a throwback photo of his film that never got made, and many fans are amused with the revelation. Big B posted a photo on Instagram that captures the shoot of the particular film, and said that everything from the title of the project to photoshoot and styling was done, but it never got made.

"A film that never got made... Styled, photo shot, titled... But never got made... Pity," he captioned it. In the image, the veteran Bollywood superstar is seen wearing a denim jacket, black pants, and carrying a gun. While Big B does not give details of the project, it seems like the film in question is of the nineties, going by his look and styling.

Hrithik Roshan's post-shave video impresses Bollywood buddies

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has almost shaved off his beard and posted a video on Instagram, flaunting his new look. The actor looks fresh after giving his heavy beard a trim, and his buddies in Bollywood seem impressed. "And it's off. Well almost. Guess a beardo never really takes it all off," Hrithik wrote alongside the clip, which currently has 2.1 million views.

His friends and colleagues from the industry couldn't stop gushing over the picture. Actress Preity Zinta wrote: "finally".

Actor Shahid Kapoor commented: "Oohhooo." Actress Mrunal Thakur dropped a heart emoji.

On Sunday, Hrithik had shared a picture flaunting his heavy beard on the photo-sharing website and had written: "Before the beard goes."

Hrithik, who made his debut as a hero with the hit film "Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai", completed 20 years in the industry in January this year. He was last seen on the big screen last year in Siddharth Anand's "War".

See Photos: Shah Rukh Khan spotted at Yash Raj office in his 'Pathan' look

It was December 21, 2018, when we last saw Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen in Zero, the film also starred Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Post that, he has been a very active producer and made titles like Bard of Blood, Betaal, Badla, and Class of 83.

SRK's next big-screen outing has been discussed a lot on social media. An according to rumours it has been tentatively titled Pathan and also stars John Abraham and Deepika Padukone. The film directed by War fame Siddharth Raj Anand and is bankrolled by Yash Raj Films. This project happens to be a part of their 50th anniversary movie announcements. However, an official announcement on the film is yet to be made.

Shah Rukh Khan was recently spotted at the Yash Raj office in Andheri on November 30. The actor could be seen in long hair and it's supposedly his look for the film. The look is reminiscent of how we saw him in Don 2 all the way back in 2011.

Speaking of Pathan, Deepika Padukone has reunited with Shah Rukh Khan for the film in what is their fourth collaboration. "The team is filming at Yash Raj Studios in Andheri, where a huge set has been erected," revealed a source to mid-day.

The source added, "Deepika has joined Shah Rukh for a 20-day schedule, post which she will turn her attention to the Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday starrer. She hopes to wrap it up by December-end." Pathan also features John Abraham, albeit this time as an antagonist.

SRK and Deepika have earlier acted in films like Om Shanti Om, Happy New Year, and Chennai Express, whereas John and Deepika were seen together in Desi Boyz and Race 2.

Besides this film, SRK is also said to have given his nod to Rajkumar Hirani's social comedy and South filmmaker Atlee's actioner as well. John Abraham is gearing up for films like Mumbai Saga, Attack, Satyameva Jayate 2, and Ek Villain 2.

Manoj Bajpayee begins shoot of a thriller with Neena Gupta and Sakshi Tanwar

With the shoot of the second season of The Family Man long wrapped up, Manoj Bajpayee has had the time to shake the character of Srikant Tiwari off him and is now ready to portray a new role. The actor kicked off the shoot of his next, Dial 100, in Mumbai yesterday. Produced by Sony Pictures and Siddharth P Malhotra's Alchemy Films, the thriller sees Bajpayee join forces with Neena Gupta and Sakshi Tanwar.

Rensil D'Silva, who has previously dabbled in thrillers, including Kurbaan (2009), Ungli (2014) and 24, says Dial 100 is far removed from his earlier works despite belonging to the same genre. "The film will engage the audience with its plot and make them question everything in the proceedings. It's the kind of movie that one has to watch again and again to find a loophole in the mystery. My producers have provided me with a wide canvas, which is inspiring yet daunting," says the director, who has doubled up as the screenplay writer. D'Silva intends to wrap up the film in a start-to-finish schedule in the city.

Abhishek Bachchan: If you look the part, half your job is done

When Bob Biswas — a spin-off film based on a character from Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani (2012) — was announced in November 2019, many had wondered if Abhishek Bachchan would be able to pull off the part of a cold-blooded contract killer. A year later, the doubts have been quelled. As the actor resumed work on the project in Kolkata last week, pictures from the shoot went viral. Almost unrecognisable in a portly frame, with a bald patch and thick-rimmed glasses, Bachchan was praised by Twitterati for his physical transformation.

"The media knew we were shooting in Kolkata. So, the photographers showed up at the venue [and clicked the pictures]. I would have loved for the look to come out the way Diya [Annapurna Ghosh, director] intended — during our marketing campaign," says Abhishek Bachchan, adding that he is humbled by the praise coming his way. "The [netizens'] reaction was an endorsement that we are doing something right. I believe that if you look the character, half your job is done. In Kahaani, Bob Biswas [portrayed by Saswata Chatterjee] is portly, so I had to pile on the kilos. Maintaining the frame during the lockdown was difficult."

The crime thriller, also featuring Chitrangda Singh, was one of the many projects affected due to the lockdown. Bachchan agrees that slipping into the character after a long break was initially difficult. "When you are shooting a film, there's a creative momentum that builds up. So, getting back in the groove can be challenging. But, after the first day, it didn't feel that we had a nine-month break."

Filming in Kolkata is always a joyous experience for the actor, who considers it his second home. "This city has showered my family and me with love and respect. My father is called 'jamai babu' [son-in-law] here, and I am referred to as 'aamar naati' [our grandson]. It has been a lucky city for me. Every time I have shot here, the film has gone on to fare well — be it Yuva or the recent Ludo."

Remo D'Souza says late Saroj Khan wanted him to make her biopioc

National Award-winning choreographer and filmmaker Remo D'Souza is keen to make a film on Saroj Khan, and he says its was the late choreographer's wish. "We had a long conversation and she said, "If someone were to make by biopic, you do it because you know the struggle as well as dance'," Remo told IANS.

Recalling his special memory of the late choreographer, Remo replied: "There is not one specific incident that I can recall and say as 'this is a special memory' that I have of Saroj ji, because she has seen me grow from a struggler to the choreographer I am today. But I have to say that in the last few years, we came closer and I feel fortunate that I worked with Saroj ji in her last work, the 'Tabah ho gaye' dance number in the film 'Kalank'. For her, it was about uniting with her favourite Madhuri (Dixit) ji and I was happy to assist Saroj ji. I was handling the technical aspect of the dance."

Remo also opened up on the biggest lessons he learned from Saroj Khan, one that "resonates with me every passing day".

He recalled how she told him that "In our industry, you either make relations from the heart, or you just do not build them, because here people only mingle for their interest. There is a sense of 'being indifferent' here, so no one is a friend or enemy. If you are talented, you are appreciated. That is it. She would always say, 'if you bond with someone do it with all heart, otherwise don't do it. Bonds forged of success and failuire don't last for life, but the ones born of the heart have nothing to do with success-failure'," shared the choreographer.

Selfie time for Bollywood again? UP CM Yogi Adityanath to meet Bollywood producers

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been going full-throttle on his ambitious plan to build the country's "biggest film city" in Gautam Buddh Nagar since its announcement in September. The leader, who is expected to arrive in Mumbai tomorrow, has set up a meeting with members of the Hindi film industry to discuss the way forward. Where Prime Minister Narendra Modi has had some of the biggest names of Bollywood enthusiastically huddling around him for a selfie, Adityanath may have to contend with a little less sparkle. Among those invited for the meeting are filmmakers Subhash Ghai, Vishal Bhardwaj, Boney Kapoor, Bhushan Kumar, Manmohan Shetty, Rajkumar Santoshi, Ramesh Sippy, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Madhur Bhandarkar and Umesh Shukla.

Navneet Sehgal, additional chief secretary (information), Uttar Pradesh, who arranged the interaction, says it is one of the first steps to encourage film-related activities in the state. "[Through this meeting], we want to convey that [filmmakers] are welcome to shoot in UP. We want their suggestions on the facilities they want in the proposed film city. The project is in the planning and designing stage, so we need to know their requirements," explains Sehgal.

Producer Rahul Mittra, who had shot Bullet Raja (2013) in UP, is looking forward to attending the interaction. "They thought it will be worthwhile to engage with a few producers, and discuss the film city project and subsidies. I appreciate that [Adityanath] is taking the time out and holding one-on-one interactions. Their focus is on producers who want to shoot in the state."

Deepika Padukone on being part of India's contribution to global space technology

Actress Deepika Padukone feels humbled to play a part in the Indian contribution to global space technology and innovation as an investor.

Posting on her Instagram on Monday, Deepika spoke of the startup she has invested in, and congratulated the company for winning a National Startup Award. The Bengaluru-based startup has been working on technology and innovation in the space industry.

"Congratulations to @BellatrixAero on winning the National Award! I am truly humbled and honoured to be able to play a small part in India's contribution to global space technology and innovation as an investor and well wisher. #JaiHind," she wrote about the firm, Bellatrix Aerospace.

AR Rahman is BAFTA Breakthrough India ambassador

Oscar and Grammy-winning Indian composer AR Rahman has been roped in as ambassador of the BAFTA Breakthrough initiative in India.

"I am happy to be working with BAFTA to discover some of the amazing talent that India has to offer in film, games and television," Rahman said.

"This is a unique opportunity for promising artistes to be supported by a world-renowned organisation, to not only make connections with other talented creatives across the world but to be mentored by BAFTA-winners and nominees. I am looking forward to seeing the brilliant talent chosen from India to be showcased on a global stage," he added.

The initiative marks BAFTA's first steps into India. The talent hunt initiative will enable the Academy to identify and nurture up to five talents working in film, games, or television in India. The exercise, known as BAFTA Breakthrough initiative, is part of the Academy's year-round effort to support new talent, operating alongside their Awards ceremonies.

"I am also incredibly grateful for the invaluable support of our brilliant ambassador AR Rahman, an industry leader in his creative work and someone who shares our passion for identifying and nurturing new talent. He is well positioned to support the initiative, with his broad spectrum of work drawing recognition across Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films, which will help BAFTA to appeal to a wide section of the industry," said Amanda Berry, Chief Executive of BAFTA.

On Monday, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) shared that the applications are now open for BAFTA Breakthrough India, supported by Netflix.

As part of the initiative in India, a jury of British and Indian industry experts will select five talents from across India to take part in the year-long mentoring and guidance program. The chosen talent will also connect with and learn from the British and Indian creative industries, and will be promoted as BAFTA Breakthrough artistes globally.

BAFTA Breakthrough has been running in the UK since 2013 and in China since 2019, but this year marks the first time the initiative is recognising talent from India. The jurors for Breakthrough India are still to be announced.

Suniel Shetty: Just when my first film was about to wrap up, it was stalled

Suniel Shetty has been a part of the Hindi film industry for over 28 years. The actor has dabbled with Hindi and South Indian films, starring opposite Superstar Rajinikanth in this year's action-drama, Darbar. He's best known for films like Gopi Kishan, Mohra, Dilwale, Border, Dhadkan, and Hera Pheri.

There have been multiple ups and downs that the actor had experienced in his career and talking about the same to Times of India in an interview, he spilled the beans on all. When asked about his debut film Balwaan in 1992, Shetty gave an anecdote and had some revelations to make.

He said, "My first film was 'Aarzu', I was standing opposite none other than Shatrughan Sinha and Raj Babbar ji, stalwarts of the industry, not knowing what I am doing, nervous as hell. The film was completed in Ooty over a period of 65-70 days, directed by Deepak Shivdasani who had just given a huge hit with 'Baaghi'. Nagma was the main lead and she was a huge star then."

He added, "I was this newcomer who was being launched. Just when the film was about to wrap up and was ready for release, my producer and director didn't get along and the film was stalled. Suddenly my dream of getting into films crashed! I was left without work."

He then went on to talk about switching from action to comedy and how his films began to fail. "I started saying no to action films because I wanted to do films that were different and creative satisfaction is what got into me and somewhere down the line, I started choosing wrong producers. Because the producers who were willing to do such kinds of films with me were first time producers and directors."

He continued, "They said they'll do whatever I say. That is when my films started failing. Because somewhere down the line you are not guided by anybody, though I believe I have a tremendous sense of business, it didn't come to me when I needed it the most. I went with the flow and emotions. I wanted that change and I wanted to prove myself. I have done a 'Border', 'Red Alert', 'Hu Tu Tu', 'Mohra', 'Hera Pheri', 'Gopi Kishan', 'Dhadkan', I have tried absolutely everything."

His son Ahan Shetty is about to make his Bollywood debut with Tadap whereas Athiya has already entered the business. When asked about this, Shetty stated, "I am her sounding board, I am her bounce board and boxing bag also, she punches me the most. She is very clear about what she does not want to do. And at times that gets difficult and there are so many films that come her way and now 'Motichoor' has scarred her so much, tremendous appreciation as an actor but scarred her from the point of view."

He added, "But she is very comfortable in her own skin. I think that is where we all come from whether it is Mana, or whether it is me or whether it is Athiya or Ahan, we are happy, we are content. I don't regret anything. When people ask me about Akshay and Ajay being successful I say they are inspiring me to keep going otherwise I would have retired long back, I say look at them, hats off to them. Don't think that I am jealous, because then there are a million who have gone by and I still exist. Ahan is a happy chilled out kid. We made the right decision as father, son and family to go with Nadiad. Sajid Bhai absolutely adores him."

Arshad Warsi joins Akshay Kumar for Bachchan Pandey

Actor Arshad Warsi has come on board for Akshay Kumar-starrer "Bachchan Pandey", the makers announced on Saturday. The action-comedy will see Kumar playing a gangster, who aspires to be an actor. Warsi, known for movies such as "Munna Bhai" and "Golmaal" series, will essay the role of the superstar's friend.

The film also features actor Kriti Sanon as a journalist, who wishes to be a director. "The makers were looking for someone who could match Akshay's comic timing and they narrowed down on Arshad who, over the years, has aced this space. "It's a first time pairing for the actors. His (Arshad) track is integral to the narrative, with multiple shades and a special look," the makers said in a statement. Farhad Samji, best known for "Housefull 4", will direct the movie.

The Sajid Nadiadwala production will begin shoot from January in Jaisalmer and continue till March Warsi is currently awaiting the release of "Durgamati", which is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Akshay Kumar and Vikram Malhotra under T-Series, Cape of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment. It will stream worldwide from December 11 on Amazon Prime Video.

Tisca Chopra opens up on her directorial debut

If you have stories to tell, then you have to make them yourself, feels actress-producer Tisca Chopra, who has tried her hand at film direction for the first time. Tisca has made her debut as director with the short film "Rubaru", which she has co-written with her husband, Captain Sanjay Chopra. The screenplay has been penned by Namrata Shenoy.

Talking about her debut directorial, Tisca told IANS: "The film talks about a Bollywood actress who was very big once, but her career is now sort of slipping because there are younger and newer people on the block. The story shows how she is losing her confidence and what she does to bring herself back."

What prompted Tisca to try direction? The actress replied: "As an actor, you are always part of telling other people's stories. Somebody else has written it, somebody else has directed it, somebody else has produced it and you do your best to help fulfil their idea of the story with your imagination of the character. I think, if you have stories to tell, then you have to make them yourself."

Tisca is also hoping to direct a full length feature film next. As a filmmaker, she is not choosy about genres as she believes, it is the story which is the most important.

"I think I would like to take a decision (regarding genres) on the basis of the story because, filmmaking is not only a technical process, it is also an emotional process where you would want to be involved in the story and want to tell that story."

Quizzed if she would want an OTT or theatrical release for her films as a filmmaker, Tisca smiled: "I just want lots of people to watch my film, I don't care where it releases on."

Directed by and starring Tisca Chopra in the lead, "Rubaru" released on November 28. The short film also stars actors Arjun Mathur and Chitrashi Rawat.

Meanwhile, the pandemic has taught a life lesson to Tisca. She feels with people running too fast in their lives in the present era, the pandemic is in a way a very good pause button for everyone.

"I think we were running too fast, at least I was. I was doing too many things. This (the pandemic) gave us time to think what is necessary and cut out the dead stuff out of your life. For example, getting ready and going to events is something that I'm going to reduce once things come back to normal. It is such a waste of time to do your hair and makeup and then travel for an hour for an event of 15-30 minutes then travel back for another hour. Half of your day is gone! I'd rather be reading a book, spend time with my daughter, write something or shoot a film!" Tisca said.

"This (the pandemic) is in a way a very good pause button for everyone's life, for my life at least. It gave me a chance to do a lot of things like I did online courses, I started working out very seriously, I spent time with my husband like a proper family and with my child, to understand how she is growing up, and travelled a lot," she concluded.

Has Alia Bhatt purchased an apartment in Ranbir Kapoor's building?

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been in a relationship for a while now and the duo is all set to collaborate for the first time for the mega-ambitious and budgeted Superhero franchise, Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji. And now, a report says that the duo is all set to reside in the same building.

A report in Pinkvilla states that the building is situated at the Pali Hill area in Bandra, and where Kapoor stays at the seventh floor, the Sadak 2 actress is going to reside on the fifth floor and the apartment has costed her around Rs. 32 crores. The report also says that Gauri Khan has been given the responsibility to give her touch to the new abode of the actress.

Coming back to Brahmastra, the drama also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia, and Mouni Roy. This film was earlier titled Dragon and was slated to release on Christmas 2016. However, due to the massively mounted scale, the makers needed more time to shape and enhance it.

It was then announced that the drama would come out on Independence Day 2019 and then December 4, 2020, but owning to the lockdown, it seems the release has to wait a little longer. Due to the on-going pandemic, a lot of big Bollywood films like Sadak 2, Laxmii and Coolie No. 1 made their way to the OTT platform. Will Brahmastra be the next one? It seems Johar isn't really ready for the same.

A report by Bollywood Hungama recently stated, "Karan Johar has not shown interest. He believes that the VFX heavy, grand film would be best enjoyed in cinemas." For the uninitiated, this film is a trilogy but no update has been given on its continuing parts. The source also said, "As of now, there are no talks on the Brahmastra sequels. All the efforts of Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios are on completing the first part. The shoot of the film is to get over this month after which the team will fully concentrate on the post-production."

Coming back to Alia Bhatt, she completed eight years in the Hindi film industry this year. She made her debut with Karan Johar's Student of The Year in 2012 and managed to strike an impression with her performance in her second film, the Imtiaz Ali directorial, Highway. Success happened in the form of films like 2 States, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Kapoor & Sons, Udta Punjab, Dear Zindagi, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Raazi, and Gully Boy.

She has one of the most promising line-up of films among her contemporaries. The first one is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, this was supposed to arrive on September 11 but has been postponed.

Also in the line-up is SS Rajamouli's RRR, which is slated to release on January 8, 2021, and Karan Johar's Takht, which will arrive on December 24, 2021. This period drama also has Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, and Janhvi Kapoor.

She shared the news officially on Instagram. Revealing that she has been infected by the virus, she added that she is asymptomatic and is quarantined at home.

News of Malaika being infected started doing the rounds shortly after Arjun Kapoor announced a day before that he had tested COVID-19 positive.

Coming to Twinkle Khanna, she made her debut in Bollywood with Barsaat in 1995 and acted in films like Jaan, Mela, Baadshah, and Joru Ka Ghulam. She's now a successful author.

Krishna Shroff gives a strong reply to a user who asks her if she has done something to her face

Krishna Shroff, a fitness enthusiast and Tiger Shroff's sister, enjoys huge social media attention. The star kid has over 686K followers on her Instagram handle, who has garnered fans for her fitness-related posts on the social media platform. Just like other celebs, Krishna too has been a victim of social media bullying and trolling several times. Recently, Shroff encountered a troll who asked her, "You did some with your face? Looks different. [sic]"

Without losing her cool, Krishna Shroff had a rather quirky yet strong reply to him. Krishna wrote back, "Dude, everyone thinks I have gotten something done cosmetically. It's makeup. It's called overlining the lips. You guys have been with b*tches that look different the night before you wake up with them."

Stunned by Shroff's reply, the troll wrote, "What an answer lol. Nicely done K."

Krishna Shroff was in news lately over her break-up with boyfriend-basketball player, Eban Hyams. She never shied away from expressing her love to her beau on social media, and so when they parted ways, Krishna publicly announced her break up as well. She took to her social media account to share the news with her fans, asking her fan clubs to stop tagging her as she isn't with Eban anymore. "All you fan clubs are cute and all, but please stop tagging me in edits with Eban. We aren't together anymore, so stop associating us. Letting you all know since it was so public. Thanks (sic)," she captioned the post.

Varun shares 'main brief' by David Dhawan during Coolie No 1 shoot

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has revealed the 'main brief' which was given to him by his father and Director David Dhawan during the shooting of his upcoming film "Coolie No 1". On his official Instagram account, Varun Dhawan shared photographs with David Dhawan from the sets of the film.

The actor wrote, "Conviction was the main brief of the Director while doing every scene in #COOLIENO1. For some reason whenever I'm listening to a scene in my head I take off to this imaginary land... Woke up with a big smile today all because of the amount of love I received yesterday."

Varun's social media post comes a day after the release of the trailer of "Coolie No 1", a film which stars Sara Ali Khan opposite him. While a section of netizens criticised Varun alleging he had overacted in the film while some fans compared him with Govinda. The actor also received love and appreciation from his fans.

"Coolie No 1" is a remake of the 1995 original film of the same name that David Dhawan made with actors Govinda and Karisma Kapoor.

The new film, also featuring ace comedians Jaaved Jaaferi, Rajpal Yadav and Johnny Lever, is the 45th directorial venture of David Dhawan.

Ravi Patel: Bollywood does not want me

After featuring in Scrubs, Master of None and the widely popular Meet The Patels, Ravi Patel is finally India-bound. The actor is set to make his debut in Indian showbiz with the Netflix series, Bhaag Beanie Bhaag. Patel, who has doubled up as the creator, says he was thrilled to team up with Swara Bhasker as it promised the opportunity of pushing the envelope. "She's a badass woman and a talented actor. Swara doesn't seek conflict; she uses her platform to speak up for people who don't have a voice. I was initially worried that she might be difficult [to work with], going by the amount of hate she gets on social media, but I was thoroughly impressed by her," says Patel.

Incidentally, his upcoming docu-series, How to Tell a Joke in India, is inspired by his experiences in the country while shooting for the show. "When I headed to India to film Bhaag Beanie Bhaag, I thought, 'Why not try stand-up while I'm there?' So, the series follows me as I try to make it in the fastest-growing comedy scene in the world. I met some of the comedians and went to their favourite places in Bandra. I have come to deduce that the greatest offence is not being funny, which I often was."

With an Indian series struck off his to-do list, one wonders if Bollywood is on the anvil. "Bollywood doesn't want me. My parents would love it if I made my [Hindi film] debut; dad would probably post about it on Facebook every day. But, maybe I don't want it [either]."
